Subject: CHIDAMOYO AUCTION - TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE!

Dear Friends,
We are very excited to formally invite each of you to the 2nd Benefit
for Hope to support Chidamoyo Christian Hospital in rural Zimbabwe.
The Benefit will take place at the Wallingford Boys & Girls Club on
September 7, 2013. Further, details on the event can be found in the
attached invitation. For those who are less familiar with Chidamoyo,
I have also attached a brief overview on the hospital and its amazing
work.
Tickets to the event are $40 until September 1st ($50 after such date
or at the door) and can be purchased directly from us or via Brown
Paper Tickets (link to the ticket purchase site is attached). Please
feel free to invite friends, families, colleagues or any others who
may be interested in attending this great event.
Similar to our inaugural event in July, 2011, this will be an
extremely casual and fun event with great food, live music, wine and
beer and excellent silent and live auction items such as luxury
African safaris, domestic and international travel packages, fine
wines and fantastic restaurant experiences. In addition, Major Mereki
(administrator of Chidamoyo) will be our special guest at the event,
traveling all the way from Zimbabwe to give you a personal update on
the hospital and how your support has saved, and will continue to,
save lives.
To date, Friends of Chidamoyo has raised over $150,000 in cash
donations which has translated into over $1.5 million in support for
the hospital through our strategic partnerships with great
organizations such as Medical Teams International, PATH and the
Imagine Foundation.
Proceeds raised from this event will be used towards the current solar
and clean water projects we are working on with the hospital and to
fund additional priority projects as needed (all of which you will
hear more about at the event). In addition, as we did last time, we
will be sharing a portion of the proceeds raised with three local
charities (Wallingford Boys & Girls Club, FamilyWorks and 45th Street
Homeless Youth Clinic) as we want our efforts on behalf of the
hospital to help those in our local community as well.
We truly hope you can join us for this special evening of fun and
celebration during which we will have the privilege of touching and
changing lives of those in desperate need both here and half way
around the world. Thank you very much for your continued support and
